Another poser here folks. Could someone share the Vf of the 3 watt L/Ss with me? I may have grazed over it during my reading but I didn't really take note. I just have this hair brained idea the MadMaxWO is going to be more efficent when driven closer to the Vf of the L/S. I'm I zigging when I should be zagging or is this on the right track?
I figure the breaking point is pretty close to three 2/3 AA cells and I would like to get everything straight before I burn up $60 worth of 3 watt and or WO sandwich.
Kind of funny how I started out looking for a Q3 high dome and now I am trying to work my way into one of Wayne Ys L/S 3s. I guess you could say the Q3 got shined on. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif

I know I could feed this thing 2 L91s for more run time and more output thanks to the run time charts that have been posted (thanks guys) but lets face it I'm cheap and I like my rechargeables. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

Depending on bin, the Vfs in the 3w range are listed below.

J 3.27 3.51
K 3.51 3.75
L 3.75 3.99
M 3.99 4.23
N 4.23 4.47

I have heard of TWAKs (I have this), TW0Ks, SV0Js and SWAMs. They are all over the place, just like its younger and older brothers. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thank you hotbeam, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif I haven't even seen the TVOKs yet and I am Jonesing for the M ranks just to run some Nimh with them. Go figure!

Maybe the Lux3Qs will take 4 rechargeable cells and not get too hot too fast.
Thanks again,
Wylie
