Whatever happened to Amilite?

One of my favorite lights that I wish I had never sold was an Amilite Neo T5... It started its life as an EDC, but then ended up doing bike headlight duty for the last year or so that I owned it before foolishly letting it go for a mere pittance... Although I never liked the looks of the light, I remember it having the silkiest smooth beam profile, and you could run it on high like forever without any noticeable loss of lumens or major heat buildup. How many people here still own an Amilite T3/T5 and use it or at least appreciate its old school awesomeness?

I had one and it had the most beautiful beam profile I've ever seen. Sold it cuz I needed multi-mode. Wish I would've kept it as it would be perfect host for some QTC.

I thinkyou can still get them . They do have a website. Thing is they are still using the SSC emitter which is ok but why not upgrade ?

At the first PhotonFest I attended, of the hundreds of LED lights that I saw, the Amilite impressed me the most. It has such a beautiful beam profile, and great build quality. It also had a beautiful tint, which at the time was not as common as it is today. It is so nice and small. The only reason I never got one is that I have a Peak Rainier, which shares some of the Amilite's excellent qualities.

A QTC with an Amilite would be a great combination.

The Neo T3 almost became my first serious light as it was the brightest 1x123 on Flashlightreviews.com at the time, but then Fenix introduced the P1D-CE and edged it out.

I think they are still around...it's a Korean outfit. I picked up one a year or so ago. As all have said, a beautif beam. Only thing that compared to it that I've seen was my old NovaTac 85T, which also used an SSC. The light though does lack throw, and just wasn't quite bright enough for my EDC needs (I'd guess 100 lumens OTF), and I was moving away from cool tinted emitters.

I ended up selling mine on the Marketplace for a considerable loss.

I'd buy another in a heartbeat, though, if they put a HI CRI emitter in it. It would then be a VERY nice campling/hiking light.

Yeah they're still around apparently... I love the SSC emitter, but they need to upgrade... I would buy a neutral XM-L Amilite...
