Thanks to burntoshine for the inspiration: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showpost.php?p=3024555&postcount=312

Neat =)

BTW, dark, for CPFers? Don't be silly, most people here carry at least a pair of flashlights on them at any given moment. To find the shelf with at least a dozen flashlights. :welcome:

I realized again this morning that I've become a flashaholic when at 7:15 am I grabbed my keys and EZAAw off the nightstand to go to the bathroom and it was already light out... :-o

The only time I don't carry a flashlight is when I'm in bed and if the power fails I have emergency backup lighting hardwired. I have 90 minutes of battery backup to find my flashlights!

Glowstuff, awesome.

Tritium vials, that's the ticket!

Tritium vials AND glowstuff, NOW we're talking

PS, that light needs trits, you never know how long that light is going to be in the dark to charge the GITD, but I guess you could just charge it with another flashlight....
That looks AWESOME in the night shots by the way!

What's a good place for tritium vials (and how do I even apply them to the TK40)?

I find that with a Photon Freedom Micro CN round my neck (another in my belt holster) a Fenix P3D and Petzl e+Lite on my belt, Black Crater Cord Lock Lights on my hood, sleeping bag and backpack drawcords, and with a Buck 777 Lumina and a Maglite 2D next to my pillow, I'm okay for lights!

Another Micro CN and e+Lite live in my day pack backup kit with spare batteries (which are also in my belt holster).

I guess I could use the above to light the way to my Uco candle lanterns!

That GITD gear is excellent.

well.... i just one for me. My necklace.
I might consider implanting a light somewhere into my body to make sure I'll have two lights on me in any given moment.

Those O rings look great! The TK40 has some nice places where they fit naturally as if that's what Fenix intended.

Hmmmm...my plain black TK40 is sitting here next to my keyboard as I type this. ;)

Hello, noob here. Please don't shoot me, but how long do glow in the dark rings glow? Sorry if I'm wrong but I thought it was just minutes. Doesn't tritium glow much longer? Thanks in advance.

Cool Photo !

But that flashlight also needs a bit of

high-quality Reflective Tape.

I actually have a Fauxton hanging on a hook next to my bed. Most often used to locate my flashlights on my nighstand :)

There are different kinds of glow in the dark products. Some will be very bright for a short time, others will be dim but for a long time.
Tritium vials will only be 50% as bright after 12 years. But they'll probably be still visible after 50 years, without once recharging

I have heard about that being Done!
I bet replacing the battery is a pain :ohgeez:
