5W McLux-PR and R2H Firefly are my babies, but the Arc-AAA CPF is what I carry.

You'll be really hard pressed to beat the L4 as the best all around light.

I find I like My LGI more than any other. It gets the most use.

Infinity body with polished deeper reflector, LuxIII, MadMax Plus WO with AA battery light for the EDC.
Cheap Alkaline, Rechargeable NiHM, and Lithium batteries can be selected depends on the external temp.
I may need some digging work on the reflector for a bit tighter spot. The side spill is enough.
Also some body works will be necessary for 2x CR2 with DownBoys' operation that gives longer runtime.

I find that my ARC LSH-P works for all my needs. I haven't pulled the ARC AAA out of my pocket in days now that it does a high/low beam. On low beam it is good for looking at things close up as well as having a 10 foot throw. Twist the tailcap and it's got a good throw, good spill and a nice white beam.
I still need to carry the AAA for when I need to replace the LSH batteries in the dark.

I sure like the McLux TK. The flood reflector just hits the, uh, spot. It's exactly the right thing for an indoor light. Back it up with a TL-3 Xenon for when you need throw, and you've got everything covered.

Nobody has mentioned the light that I carry every day everywhere.
NANOMATE.
It is TINY and BRIGHT. It uses one "N" cell, though, not the 123's that you wanted.
