Ive been trying to find a Jetbeam M1X in a color other than green but have been unsucessful. Been looking for almost an hour. Preferabbly I want to purchase it from a website that I can also order the extension tube and some batteries. Any suggestions? I dont want the green color. :p

The next run of Natural colored M1X's is supposedly going into production at the end of this month.

If you want other than Green, it might be a bit of a wait unless you purchase one used.

I had the same problem, cuz i really dont like green. from what i understand tho, is that the updated versions of the M1X are only shipping in the army green finish. I have to say that it is kind of growing on me and i might just have to pick up an army green Jet-IIIM just to go with it!

Meh its just that I already have an olive TK10 and didn't want another green flashlight. I also don't want to wait another month. Guess ill be getting the army green or olive drap whatever its called.

I have the Army Green M1x and I like the color, it's a dark green that sticks out from all the other gray/black flashlights out there, and like guard said, it's a heck of a light.

Green is good. Jetbeam Green is now my favorite color!

I wonder if the ones CFR has in stock are green? The only picture shows the grey, with no mention of color in the description.

Might be worth a call or an email unless someone else here knows for sure they're green.

Go Green! It's the prettiest, hands down.

If you really want the gray, try eBay or CPF Marketplace.

Good Luck!

Hi everyone, another Aussie here and really REALLY new to this whole game, but since getting a Surefire E2DL (recommended by a self defence instructor) I suddenly got interested and as my searches for useful info pretty much always ended up at CPF I figured I'd join! This is my first post so please excuse my ignorance!

I've got a couple of questions for the learned souls that dwell here: I found someone locally selling a second hand (as new condition) Jetbeam M1X in Army Green and in reference to what Guard wrote, can I be sure that it's the updated version of the M1X or did Jetbeam make some in that colour before the update? Also, is there any difference between Army Green and Olive Drab, or are they the same thing?

Cheers!

Olive drab and army green will be the same color, JetBeam only put out one variation of green, it just depends on how it is listed on the dealer's site. Any olive M1X will be the updated model, there was no olive run with the old tech.

As stated by the other members; Go Green! You will not be dissappointed. I was aprehensive about the coloration at first too, but this variation of green is very beautiful. Enjoy.

Jetbeam has had 3 variations of the M1X, but only 2 have different circuitry.

Variation 1: HAIII silver, circular heat sinks around the head/neck. This is the one pictured in Selfbuilt's review. No longer produced and was available for the first run.
Variation 2: HAIII silver, updated circuitry for more emitter power. Identifiable by fluted heat sink.
Variation 3: Identical to Variation 2, only in Olive Drab

Flavio has said that Jetbeam is about to produce more Variation 2 M1X for the Silver HAIII lovers.

I received my M1X yesterday (my third Jetbeam after the RRT-1 and RRT-2); but didn't get the 18500s I ordered from another vendor. :mecry: Not testing my first MC-E was tough! I'm already stalking the mailman today...

Thanks LowFlux and OfficerCamp for your replies, that was the info I was after!

Had 2 of these in the last month. Colors of light body, switch cap and extension do not match. Had a technical issue with 1st one and exchanged it for a 2nd one and the colors matched a little closer but not exactly. If you get one, run it for 15 minutes on high and see if your battery tube gets hot and let us (me) know here. Thx.

My experience with the Green has been poor - the head and tailcap were both dark green, the battery tube was a sickly-looking light green. Then the extension tube came and it was darker than the head and tailcap! My light looks like the Frankenstein Monster!! Weak Jetbeam....can't wait for the natural (gray) to come back.

Aside from the color the M1X is an awesome light!

OK - correction - the head and tailcap are darkest OD (if the light was ALL this color I wouldn't have a problem with it...) The battery tube is the lightest and the extension tube is slightly darker than the batt tube...but...not as dark as the head/tailcap!! Here's my best at night time - daylight would give a better rendition though:
