Hi!

This is mainly to all Europen members out there. Lights (LED and high-end flashlights) are very expensive in Europe (the best place I know is German Toolshop, which is not at all cheap

). So cheapest would be to order from USA... but then there are the taxes (for knives in Finland about 33% - probably at least as much for flashlights)

I've bought many knives from USA, and those I've usually gotten by USPS Global Mail - i.e. normail airmail letter or package. Those are not insured in any ways, but then again the companies have not included any customs info in them either, thus I've usually saved all taxes. With USP or FedEx I've always ended up paying those taxes.

So how do you do it? Where do you buy your lights and how?

Hi, Harri

I send a e-mail to your mailbox. You will find a pic. It might be useful for you.

Thanks, but errr... seems to be something wrong somewhere. I didn't get it. (The address in my profile should be correct and working - I just checked it... maybe it was lost in Hotmail somewhere, I should probably get a real account too.

) Could you please resend it.

Harri

Your e-mail address is [email protected]? I sent it again. The LED flashlight which is shown in pic just like Inova x5. If you like, you may buy it from Finland.

Thanks. I got it now. No idea of what that is? What is it? Who makes it and so on?

Looks good and interesting - altough doesn't answer my question. So if there are European members... I'm still all ears

The LED flashlight is China Origin. It's aluminum alloy housing. It also has tail cap switch. The brightness is similar with Inova X5.

It is sold in Finland. If you buy it from Europe, it will save your UPS or Fedex charge, also no tax. And it will be cheaper than Inova X5.

121cncom, I've never seen one like that... but you say it's sold here - can you be more specific, where here? Can't really ask anybody either as I do not know the name of the LED Light.

(I noticed that you have a picture of the light in another thread)

But still I'd like to hear also from where (from USA) do you other European members buy your lights and how? (I know you guys buy stuff from the States...

)

Nice looking light 21cncom. Can you give more information on it? Who makes it and who sells it? Oh, and what is the cost?

Well, checked that E-Bay link... Seems suspicious...

Maybe I'll pass on that and continue to look for X5T...

But come on now! Are you guys saying that there are no European members - or that you don't want to tell from where and how you buy your lights?

This thread tries to get off-topic all the time with that "rip-off" (not really a rip-off)...

Sorry Harri, I had a non-functioning keyboard..

I usually have the lights shipped to an US friend of mine, who in turn ships it to me.
I've never used any other way, so I can't help you much here.
Maybe a member would be so kind to assist...

Take care,

PocketLights.com ships internationally via USPS Priority Mail. If you have a special request on how to ship your order, let us know. We can usually accomodate your request.

I know, I should have a friend in the States...

PocketLights, Thanks for the message. I hadn't seen your web-page before. I'm going on a small holliday, but I'm sure I will visit there again and contact you.

Pocketlights has the cheapest shipping prices to Hungary where I live. I ordered two X5-T's in the last 2 months from them and the shipping charge was $12. And Pocketlights was the fastest, only 8-9 days between order and X5 in my hand.

Well yes, I am an european Member. I usually buy my lights by www.ph-import.com. This is the german general distributor for SureFire, Inova, UKE (AFAIK), and some more quality products (like Eagle Industries). I have made good experience with toolshop, with a superp service and fast shipping without additional costs.
But, those are German sellers and I live in Germany and, very important, I get Law Enforcement discount :-)
