I've searched for awhile, and couldn't find anything. I was trying to keep from ordering online. Not that i dont like the vendors, just want to see this light on asap. Any major names of stores anyone know of? Sportsman Warehouse never heard of them.

Not a problem.

As to your query, my advice would be to buy AW's protected Li-Ion cells direct from that link. His Intl shipping is fast and efficient. Alternatively, you can get them from Lighthound (and that link takes you to the relevant page there).

These cells are recommended here, and other random brands you may find will not be as good, and could let you down badly.

Like DM51 said. Buying AWs cells is the safe and sensible thing to do.

Some other brands can be pretty bad.

18650s aren't sold in any stores I know of, a few sell RCR123s. The biggest demand for 18650s is battery packs for lap tops. When removed from the pack these cells are not protected so I would advice you to buy AW's cells.

If you want them fast, go through Lighthound. I recieve all my orders from Lighthound in less than 7 days. When I bought my cells from AW it took 10-14 days IIRC.

well, international shipping takes way more than a week...sometimes 3 weeks:eek:oo:

Find an old laptop, crack open its battery and scavenge the good cells. They'll have nothing like their original capacity, significant internal resistance and they *might* present a risk while charging (so do it outside), but unless your light is an energy black hole they oughta tide you over until you get new, fresh cells shipped to you.

I ordered some already that will come in by Saturday. The laptop batteries are expensive, so i dont want to do that. Not that desperate-yet. I got the new DBS V2 by Dereelight. Will the cr123's not work?

I got mine last ones from BatteryJunction.com. Tenergy 2600 Mah with protection. Took 2 days to get to my mailbox.

Jamesmark72;

I don't know where you are located, but I have plenty of new Sanyo #18650 2400mah cells.

Notebook cells are OK if they are Sanyo, Sony or Panasonic brand and less than a year old.
