I did a search on the internet for a while and I can't find a single place that sells dummy batteries (AA). I'm also looking for 2AA to D battery adapter.

Might check with Abtomat, He made me some 1/2 123's.He might make some AA's for you.
I think I bought some dummy AA's along time ago from a Radio
Shack to use in a walkie talkie but it was years ago.

I'm looking for a single place that sells all of them otherwise I'll end up paying $20+ just for shipping if I buy stuff here & there. ccrane has dummy AA cell but does not carry A->D converter so I can make a dummy D out of it.

I've made 1x, 2x, 3x, AA dummies out of white nylon, with a 3mm brass rod epoxied in the middle. Surely one of the modders, or someone with a lathe could make them for you?

Why not use a drilled out wood dowel with a nail put in the center to make a dummy battery? Grind the tip of the nail to make the positive connection. Or get a nail and wrap paper or around the nail then some tape to hold it all together. Wrap until you get the size of an AA or whatever size battery you want?

I think I got the last CCrane AA dummy batteries. They were on close-out two months ago. The dummies sold for 10 dummies for $1. I haven't seen them since then.

I've gotten lots of use out of the dummy batteries.

I use 5/8" wood dowels cut to proper length, which measured from the bottom (negative) end to the (positive) "nipple" end so it's flat on both ends.

I then wrapped two layers of aluminum foil end-wise about 1/2"-3/4" wide, then used electrical tape around the middle. Not sure how good it is, I don't own a multimeter, but it works ok.

This works with Elektrolumens 3AA-1D adapter. It probably would not work so well if you needed the positive "nipple". For that, haveblue's idea would be a good way to go.
