already looked at flashlightlense.com.no stock.
this is for an old anglehead 2d.
i melted the plastic one with a hot bulb.

I'm looking for exactly the same thing but not for a flashlight but my home made Son of Pipe Light bike light.
I have found that 43mm is a standard in the Camera world and I'm going to try one of these as if it filters out UV and gives a warm tinge to everything then with light from the LED's going through it the reverse is true then some of the harsh whiteness will be eliminated.

Will let you know the results as soon as it arrives.http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/images/smilies/smile.gif

A 43mm photo filter will not yield a 43mm piece of glass. You will need a 46mm filter. After carefully filing through the metal rim in two places and removing it you will end up with a window just slightly larger than 43mm.

I used a Hoya multicoated UV filter for my anglehead and it works great. You should be able to find one for around $11-$13.

I have never found just a plain 43mm window for sale. Flashlight lens will cut any custom size, but only in a large quantity.

another idea is use an optics store....they can grind down glass, so you start with a larger diameter one...

I am about to do this and let you knwo how it turned out...

Do a google search for "optical window". You should be able to find something, although as mentioned you may need to get it ground down.
