Which 18650 P60 host?

Candle Power Forums

Help Support Candle Power:

Do the C2 and M2 share the same body? I seem to remember that boring a C2 causes it to become VERY thin under the grip ring. Not only that, it's far over $80. :candle:
Same bodies, different bezels. There is no issue in boring out a SureFire C series (they are that THICK!), you must be confusing with the M3/M3T/M4's body tubes. You need to check ElectronGuru's threads at the Custom & Mods B/S/T.

SureFire 18mm -- ready to go!!

Sgt. LED seems to think otherwise...

While the C2 may be a nice host, it does seem a little thin there. And it's way over my budget. I know, not the CPF spirit...
Have you actually handled one? Sgt LED enjoys destroying stuff for fun, he may even break an anvil under regular use. I'd not take his word when it come to product toughness, the man is an ogre.

Try a SF and you won't regret it. Don't think about price, a SF light will outlive you, and if you ever need it they got your back for life-- no extra cost, no questions asked, no B.S. I used to think like you when I joined CPF... You will eventually see the light one day...

Sarge tests all our altered SFs personally.

I don't want to speak for him, but he pounded on a brand new bored C2 until it broke and based on the effort required, changed his mind and decided it was worth producing.

This is interesting. I may buy the solarforce L2 host and a drop-in for my next light!

I know this is an old tread, but the Solarforce L2P's are HAIII and I did not have to wrap my Cree R2 with anything to get it to work or dissipate heat.

The threads are also a complete PITA on my two samples, in particular when compared to the Surefires.

I know Surefire stands behind their lights for life, but what about once it is bored for an 18650?

Voids SF warranty. I can't imagine they would service a light thats had its body bored out with thinner walls all around, that's way beyond reasonable.

I can only assume Oveready will stand behind lights they've bored but if you do it on your own.. You're on your, well, own. :nana:
