Hi all,

It's time for a new set of rechargeable batteries, (AA's), for my LED Lenser P14.
Any suggestions?
Currently using a set of Energizer 2500mA NiMh. I know Lenser advise against using NiMh batteries, is there a good alternative rechargeable on the market?

Thanks.

Pretty much every search you do on these forums is going to reveal the word Eneloop.

While you're there, take a look at the Powerex C9000 (aka Maha C9000) for a charger. It makes a world of difference. I can't honestly over-emphasise just how much difference it's made to the life of my batteries. Running Eneloop 2000mAh batteries in that charger easily outperforms every other NiMH I have had.

Your Energizer 2500mAh cells are also probably no way near 2500mAh in reality... of course you can't really measure that without something like the C9000. My 2500mAh cells were only 3 months old and only manage a pitiful 1300mAh now... that was with what I thought was a good charger at the time. Eneloops actually deliver the power they state on the case 2000mAh... which makes a refreshing change.

+1 Eneloop. If you do not want LSD then I would suggest Sanyo 2700s. I own both and they both perform well. I have about 70+ Eneloops in my possession at this time and counting.

When it comes to AA all I use is Eneloops!!

Wow!!! Looks like "Eneloop's" are popular.
Gonna have a dig around for some prices tomorrow, was tempted to have a look on Amazon, but there's a fair few fakes knocking around on there.

Might be as well ordering online from manufacturer me thinks!

Thanks guys.
