Which combo for better runtime?

So i am trying to decide which combo will give me the best runtime.. in my 2d mag.. at some point i want to get a 3d so this all should switch over.

DD a P7 with 3 C-Cell NIMH's

ROP High or low with 6-8 "not sure how many to use" AA NIMH 2700mah.. or maybe the 1700 elites as i know they kick but for high current

I know i could do a
5 or 6 D mag xenon bulb with the same batteries as the ROP? and get better run times but i am curious about the brighter options

how many amps does the ROP draw? I know the p7 is 2.4-3 or so?
