This has probably already been covered before, but is it possible to put a mad max board into a Blaster 1-R? If so, what is involved? How about a MM+ and 3W LS? I realise the runtime would be reduced, but as long as the output is more constant than my unregulated blaster V, I wouldn't mind. I've discovered that I'd much rather a couple of hours of regulated bright light than hours and hours of progressively dimmer light. I'm hoping that the used battries from the bigger blaster would have enough juice left to power this light brightly, if only for a little while. Am I on the right track or is there some other way to get the most from my half used cells? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm not too familiar with the Blaster series. If the LED is mounted to an aluminum heat sink it might be possible to pop the heat sink off and put in a different heatsink assembly.

The converter board will most likely need to go inside the housing somewhere and there may or may not be room under the heatsink for this to work.

If this was a regular C or D Mag, there is plenty of room inside for a converter board and a hotlips heat sink.

I believe the 1R and Anglelux both use the micropuck converter. My run time on the Anglelux was 24 hours to 50% of max brightness! Pretty flat discharge.
