Which thread lubricant if I prefer "stiff" or "heavy dampened" threads"?

Been using Nyogel 760G for some time and it works great on the o-rings
and threads for the head/bezel. But here is the problem...

Prefer the feel/function of "stiff" or "heavy dampened" threads on twisty
tailcaps. It drives me absolute NUTS having a tailcap twist to easily!

I went with slightly thicker double o-rings on the tailcaps of my M6's to
increase the friction, but just can't find the right lubricant for the A2/L1/L2
tailcaps.

And PLEASE don't suggest "not lubing the threads" to increase friction! :ohgeez:

Any leads, thoughts, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS folks.

Energy Suspension Forumla 5 prelube is probably what you are looking for. It's highly water resistant and is meant to lubricate polyurethane bushings before installing them on a car. Before I found CPF or knew about nyogel, I used it on my dad's 3D mag and the head took considerable effort to twist after that.

Energy Suspension Forumla 5 prelube...
Sounds to be on the right track, will give it a look. Thanks.

Nyogel 779ZC will give you more stiffness, and it's recommended for o-rings and aluminum threads. I use 760G because of its lower viscosity for joints I have to move routinely like twisty heads, but 779ZC for others like tail caps.

I'll have to give that a try. I have some out in my shop that I use for polyurethane bushings that I've installed on some of my cars. Very nasty stuff though, it is extremely tacky and hard to get off, definitely use sparingly.

My recently received Fenix P1 CE has a noticeably looser head than my older P1, and I'd like to tighten it up a little.

That's good to know. I tear down and clean/lube my lights often enough it
seems this option may be a bit messy.

c_c - I'll give 779ZC a run. Sounds like what I'm looking for.
