Re: Who bought ARC AAA\'s for presents?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I thought about that myself as I was ordering torches for gifts. I've now decided to keep the 4 ARC AAAs that I ordered for gifts (at least for awhile).
Instead, I'm giving out some PALights, Pelican L1s, and some keychain "Photon" type lights. I typed up a little "LED educational note" (100,000 hours, energy efficiency, durability...)comparing them to incandescants, how they can count on a LED torch when they need it instead of picking up an old yellowed beam light that maybe works.
I'm in no way implying that the above torches are inferior to an ARC AAA! I have nothing but positive things to say about PALight, Pelicans, and Photons. It's a cost factor...Thanks to Frank and Nick at "Countycomm.com", I was able to take advantage of some GREAT deals that they offered to the CPF members. And let me add, that because of these deals, I was able to order 20 Pelicans, 40 of the Keychain lights, and 12 PALights (though the PALs didn't come from Frank), therefore far more family & friends are getting LED torches now instead of the original "4".
We'll see if my gift recipients "appreciate" LED torches to begin with, before I spend the bigger bucks.
