Who can mod an older Inova X1 and Xo?

Good afternoon CPF members,

I own an X1 and a Xo, older models with optic system instead of the clear lens with reflector. I would like to improve lumen, throw and perhaps the spill on these beauties.

I was wondering if any of you have been able to sucessfully perform such task before. If your answer is positive, please let me know if you would be willing to perform this mod on my flashlights for a reasonable price.

I know that it's been done, but I've not done it myself. Once you figure out what the optic is (or what the existing LED is) it's just a matter of finding a new LED that performs better.


Sounds simple, right? :)

I really heated my X1 and am very glad I got the much better Quark mini.

apart from that, mine had some normal 5 mm led inside.
Freeze-pop it, hope everything else survives, change led, put together.

(with all my freeze-pops, else driver, or led or both remain damaged and had to be removed. For better drivers and led of course. But that were mainly T models)


PS. the only thing these lenses do, is add lenght. Reflector lights give the better, more useable beam.
