Look locally at electroplating shops. Most will have a minimum order that's pretty reasonable, and will certainly be cheaper than buying all your own equipment for a single run. The place I go to charges $50 minimum, but that minimum includes a lot of parts. See if you can scrounge up some more parts to split the cost up a little.

Wow $50 is a great price. Around here for Hard Ano the minimum is $135 and $100 for Type II.

Jonathans anodizer lost a box or 2 of lights and Jonathan paid for them out of his own pocket so last I heard he had no plans to offer this service again. Some of the lights lost where rare $500+ pieces.

If you just want type II, it isn't really that hard. It is all about making sure the parts are very clean and consistent on the surface. There is a lot of information on the internet about doing type II ano work.

As far as minimums, $ 50 is amazing- I usually hear numbers over $ 100, which still isn't that bad considering. I know it isn't what you want, but there are some pretty decent black paints out there.
