Note: I tried posting in the "arc" section and it's asking me to log in. So I'm confused. You have to be a member within a member? Or is it a bug in the program?

Note: Moderators please feel free to relocate this to it's proper place, sorry /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Anyways, why did the Arcc Company closed down? I mean it has winner products in the likes of: ARC AAA, etc. It's especially popular amongs CPFer's.

1) Is it mis-management?

2) Which market is it catering too?
a) The mass-market? Probably nobody's buying because it's too darn expensive to the average consumer. (you know, "..it's only a flashlight I wouldn't pay for that)
b. High-end users?

Well, I'm just curious. Because a great company like this shouldn't go down.

Where there any companies interested in aquiring this company? Like Surefire, streamlight, Gerber, etc. It would be great. Probably it would have continued the ARC AAA line. ARC AAA 2 anybody?

It's a long story in the archives and some "dirt" down in the underground. This thread will no doubt get locked. The short answer is that the company folded due to business considerations. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The reason for the different membership is largely due to the fact that you have to be a certain age to go into the cpf underground.
Where-as, anyone, even kids can be members topside right here.
Trust me, there is plenty of good info on what happened to this company, other companies, even other members.
It's drama nirvana down there.
It took me the better part of only 5 minutes to register and take the fall end over end, down the stairs to get there.

Closed to avoid any undesirable debates and comments. There's a lot of info in The Underground, and by searching CPF.
