Will a Surefire LX2 work with an E2L/E2E tailcap ??

I remember I have read somewhere that I will loose the LOW mode in this case but normally , it should function with an E2L/E2E tailcap , is that right ?

I find quite unusual for me the UI for L1/LX2 , so I would be more happy with a clicky light and grippier also :)
