Will Ultra G or Dorcy AA/AAA over drain a NiMH battery?

should i simply stop using it before the voltage is too low?

but i have to say, a NiMH last way too long in my Ultra G /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My tests show that the Ultra goes to basically zero current at about .8 Volts, probably a safe level. The Arc, OTOH, was still pulling 7 mA at .7 so my present a problem.

I wouldn't recommend leaving either on once the light level drops off.

I'm not convinced you can over drain a single cell. More than one in a battery pack and you do run the risk of reverse charge which will damage it. And there is a problem with rapid chargers. They are supposed to trickle charge a cell up to the 0.8 V level before starting a rapid charge cycle, but I think many do not check!
