there was a Arc LS3, dont think a 5W LS will work well in a Single cell Arc LS body.

ufokillerz is correct... and the LS3's were not single cell design.
The LS3 was under driven at 2.5w for thermal reasons I believe and way too over priced for my blood. (but that is debateable of course and I'm a cheap skate to begin with /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif )

But, I will say, more power to Peter... cuz they sold like hotcakes and still command the $200.00 price tag. (I would have done the same if given the oppertunity) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have an E2e with a 5WLS (CM mod) in a KL1 for intermittant use. I beginning to think I can run it longer without concern as I keep getting braver with runtime... it gets warmer than a KL1 standard but not to hot for comfort.
It depends on the temperature outside.
It is awesome!

If Arc added some fins or equivalent heatsinking and kept the 2x123 design, a 5W Arc would rock I'm sure.
Gotta get the 700mA out of the 5W LS though..

Peter?? any plans?? or are you guys waiting on Lumileds for a 10,000Hr part?
