Wired Buckpuck w/ dimmer & pot question

Is the dimmer / pot a seperate piece in addition to the Buckpuck unit itself? I can't tell if it is built in to the unit itself, or wired externally like the picture I found here:

Is this the unit that is wired for one or the actual 3023-D-E-1000PmA part number?



I'm trying to build a housing and I need to know if I need to leave room for the external dimmers or not.
