I am in the beginning stages of a lighting project that could benefit from having a wireless switch to activate it.
Do you know if such a thing is available as a component - just a short range radio-controlled push once for on, again for off switch set? If so, do you know price and source?
Thank you.
Paul

Yeah, there's a number of places that sell these RF remotes. They were advertised everywhere this Christmas as a way to turn on your Christmas lights remotely. I have an old one that I picked up at Radio Shack a while ago. They generally go for around $20 for the RF keychain remote and a receiver. The range of the device is around 30ft.

Hey ID, based on the above responses, I assume that you mean an AC powered project. That's what the X.10 system is all about. In addition to the previously mentioned remotes there is a GE unit that Target sells but I forgot the price that is a Xmit/Receive pair. Xmitter looks like a keychain remote also.
