Maxlite II High Output modded with a Seoul emitter from photonfanatic. Tint bin VO (warm white). The Seoul emitter is brighter then the original Super S bin Luxeon I. The reflector has been modded for focus with the Seoul. There are some micro scratches on the reflector. I checked it with my 10x stereo microscope. Has a donut hole in the 1st foot of the beam similar to the original. Best performance is with a 1.5 volt Energizer Lithium battery. Next is NiMh rechargable battery. Do not use with any other rechargable Lithium battery or Instaflash.

Howdy friends and neighbors. Hope this finds you in good cheer.

I can't believe why this Maxlite didn't sell yet. Is it priced too high? Nobody PM'ed me about it. Maybe we all wanted to see how much a Seoulified Maxlite will go for? My wife says that i didn't, "Let go of it yet." OK... I did give my grandson #48 (this one is #49) and he was the one that got me started on LED flashlights couple years ago. "Grampa i want a LED flashlight."

I didn't plan on selling this light but after my thread (see post#10) on experiencing Seoul in a Maxlite i got a few PM's about modding and doing mods on this light. This one went together so fast and easy i decided maybe somebody would like to get one already modded. I haven't see a any Seouled Maxlites (modded or Extreme versions) for sale so i figured maybe the Seouled version is the keeper in a flashaholic's collection.

I'm going to give this another price drop/bump and will withdraw it this weekend. I've been dying to put an Extreme LE in this and it's a NOGO if it's still for sale.

Last year the S-binned Luxeon I was the holy grail of efficiency and tint. You could drive the Lux III and V harder but not with a single AA battery. This was the perfect match for the Maxlite. Now with the introduction of the Cree die in a Seoul form factor with the tints under control we are in a different league.

Talking about league or in this case by itself. Here is a high end billeted single AA flashlight. Usually reserved for the CR123 form factor. Those two reasons made it the ultimate flashlight for my grandson.

This light is single stage. As`far as i know all Maxlite II's are single stage. This uses a McClickie switch so a 2 stage switch might work. I don't know what resistor value would work or if one would work with this convertor. Sorry

If its the same as my seul modded Maxlight II its a single level with low battery protection. IE the circut cuts out at around .9v (it does on mine)

its a fantastic little light, brighter than the C-LE on the same cells and runs a bit longer to.

Sorry, no before pictures. My 2 Maxlites have both been converted to Seoul. Since you have a Maxlite think of the same beam pattern but way brighter. The one i'm selling is a VO warm tint so it is not as glarry.

I can't answer the question of how much just to do the Seoul mod. Who ever does it will charge for an emitter and/or spacer/reflector mod. I have a Maxlite mod thread. You might want to PM one of the modders who on those pages. This light was personally done by me after my learning curve on my 1st light. I don't mod other peoples lights due to the chance that i may botch the job and then what?

How did you swap the emitter?
Did you just remove the reflector and swap it or did you manage to unscew the LE?


I have tryed to unscrew my LE from the back but it wont budge...
