I was recently given and Wolf-eyes defender with a burnt out lamp. The batterys were put in backwards and the driver/led fried. I've been looking around a bit online and most of the drop in replacements are either sold out, or 60 dollars. I keep reading p60 drop ins at lighthoud such as this http://www.lighthound.com/Lumens-Fa...-13-volt-250-Lumens-Lamp-Assembly_p_3330.html are "NOT compatible with Wolf-Eyes® Flashlights" And was wondering why?
I have the old lamp assembly and took out the electronics. could I just rebuild it with new parts? or is the reason p60 dropins wont work with it electrical? I'm assuming it's probibly something to do with the form factor of the lamp assembly so I should be fine to put in an r2 and new driver board right?
