Where it is possible to purchase such a optics? This is special optics for MC- E?

Well done! That's dazzlingly bright. It was nice to see that a single MaxFlex is coping with 3 MC-Es without drama.

Wow. That first beamshot (maybe "floodshot" is better?) of the trail is absolutely outstanding. I think it's the best I've ever seen.

How does this setup work out thermally, compared to your other triple MC-E that utilizes the stem and bars?

Thanks FrontRanger
It is an amazing light but only had a small test ride last night and it stayed
cool when moving but warmed when stopped .
This is in the UK where it is allways cold it may struggle in warmer climes I think .

It is nowhere near as good as the stem and bar light for thermal handling

That light has been retired for the time being untill better optics
are available for the MCE .

Very nice!
You guys are slowly tempting me to make an even brighter bike light (which I need like a hole in my head). It's not the weight of the P7's that concern me, it's the weight of the 18650's. Maybe I could get 1 of those bike trailers that you see in Asia!

Very nice I'm working on my own triple MC-E MR16 light. The heat sink on mine is a little longer and I'm using three separate 20mm optics from carclo as they now have one specific for the MC-E now.
What's your run time like?

Correct me if I am wrong but with my calculation this setup should have around 1700lum.
If he uses a 14.8/4.8Ah @ 600mA per die, then the runtime should be around... 2 hours.

Did you have to modify optic in any way or it is perfect fit for MC-E

Thank you
Iztok

The optic has legs from which I removed about 1.5 mm to allow the optic to sit over the dome of the MCE .

Runtime I have not done a full to empty test yet It was only built yesterday.

But I have run the same 3 mce and maxflex for 1hour 7 mins on full power
using a 14.8 v 2.4ah li ion before the battery cut out

I did try a triple build with the carclo 20 mm optics and even using the tight beam ones it was a very floody short range light which I did not like much I wanted a bit more throw .

This post could be the reason for me to build my first CREE bike light, because I like MAXFLEX so much and this combination could be the optimum price performace for me.

Thank you, Trout

Go for it Tidra , It is pushing the Maxflex quite hard so it also needs a good heatsink also .
I have the narrow optic on order so will post a beam shot when it arrives
I am hoping it will push some light a bit further down the trail

Thanks Gunnerboy
Yes no hot spot just light everywhere I luv it
