its amazing what you can get for around 10 bucks now. last cool light i got was the streamlight nano amazing for a light that weighs less then 10 grams .i also have one that claims to be 9000 lumens ill believe that when i see it

what's the 9000 lumen light?
its a canwelum x9 xml . its has 9 xml leds so if there all driven hard it can be 9000 lumens. but not sure any battery combo can drive em that hard it uses 3 18650 cellls or 26550 cells

she only pulls 28 watts so it aint 9000 lumens. not sure who many that would be .

Great to see you back, raggie. I bet the changes are a nice surprise.

I've heard good things about that HD2010, and with a 50-60mm reflector, I would imagine it would throw quite well indeed! Not a bad price either, may have to pick one up..

ill tell u tomorrow i got mine from tmart wanted to get it from amazon they didnt have it. i want to be able to have it shine as far as i can see to the tree line

I have an Ultrafire 9xT6 which is a 9 x XM-L T6 head powered by 3 x 26650 cells. It measures 3.97A at the tailcap with MNKE IMR 3500mAh 26650's. I don't have a lightbox, but I would say it is around 3500 lumens. It is very similar in brightness to my Nitecore TM26, but wayyyyyyyyyy more floody. It definitely doesn't hold a candle to my modified BTU Shocker (4760 lumens with Tom E's lightbox) or my Firefoxes FF4 (~7000 lumens with rdrfronty's lightbox).

Well i hd 2010 arived a course its noon lol so i cant play with it. but it pulls 5 amps that xml is driven hard .with that big reflector i think ill smile all night.im using cheap 26650s from trust mart . you can use 18650s but i doubt ya would get 5 amps . also they tend to shake around

Hi Raggie,

You are right about the change. I remember getting excited about CMG Infinities. OK, I'll admit it, I still get excited about the old lights.

I'm amazed at how mainstream cheap LED lights are. I came here to learn about LED lights. Now they are impulse items stocked in checkout lanes everywhere.

I remember coming on here a few years ago to talk about the tiny new LED Christmas light section at the local box store; now it's the incan lights that have a tiny section..

if u all dont have a hd2010 make sure u get one .there so throwy yet has lots of spill

Yep, things sure have advanced in the last 10 years. You can put together an 800+ lumen 6p sized light for around 30 bucks these days, and AA lights are up to where we were just a few short years ago with high end tacticals that needed lithiums to run. I just realized I don't have a light on my keychain anymore for some reason, gotta fix that soon.
