Re: WTB: Deep Red LED ( HDS Red )

The latest HDS lights have IMO a XP-E2 LED used. At least the LED in my HDS Roatary with red LED looks like that.
The red of my HDS is also a little bit deeper red than the red of the Surefire Kroma MILSPEC and Surefire Aviator Red. Until now the HDS is the best flashlight with the deepest red I have, love my red light HDS.

Here you can get a red XP-E2 LED:

https://www.lumitronix.com/en_gb/cree-xp-e2-smd-led-with-pcb-star-67-2lm-red-68198.html

Btw. Lumitronics is located in the EU. Shipping might me fast to your location since you are also in Europe.

FWIW, according to CREE's datasheet the wavelength of the XP-E2 is 625 nm which means it's not as deep red as the 660 nm SST-20.

There are some deep red and far red(730nm) P60 drop-ins on Kaidomain.

Check out the Zebralight H502pr Photo Red AA Flood Headlamp. I have one and it's a very nice deep red, supposedly in the 650-670nm range. I personally love how insanely dim it can go (0.003Lm).
