Hi gunga,

I have some new production (silver based) Q2-5A on 16mm round MCPCB left. But the metal ring has oxide like rust. I don't have much time to test them. The seller said the Vf is very low.

If you don't mind the ring, just let me know. They're $8 each. Shipping to Canada should be around $3.5

Thanks. :)

PS. Q3-5A seems to be available in China.

EDIT: They're all gone.

If gunga doesn't want those, I'll be backup for all 4. I need them for a tri-emitter mag mod and a E1L mod.

Hmmmm, rust? I thought the rings were aluminum? Can it be cleaned off?

Any idea how it got there? Do they work?
I'd be interested in a couple, but am little unsure about the rust...

@kavvika,

If you don't mind the ring, I still have some left.

Thanks. :)

@gunga,

I think the ring is made of copper. Thay look like rust but they're not. The ring color changed. Some of my other XR-E emitters are the same if not sealed totally. Maybe the humidity is too high here. :confused:

I didn't try to clean it, since I'm afraid I'll damage the dome. I didn't have a bench power supply to drive it at spec. I use DMM's diode test and it lights up. I think they should be fine. If they're DOA, I'll refund just like before. :)

Thanks.
