Long story short. Windows xp desktop died, bought a macbook. would like to dual boot windows xp on it. I have a windows xp Home disc with license, but it is service pack 1a. I need a disc with service pack 2 or greater to install because of drivers needed. I know it is possible to "slipstream" a service pack into a disc, but i dont have access to a windows machine with the tools to do so.
so......
If anyone has a XP Home disc i could borrow, it would be greatly appreciated. I would not be using your license, as i have my own. OEM discs like dell wont work, it must be an actual microsoft windows disc.
If anyone has suggestions on the process apart from the apple support docs, all help is appreciated.
Thanks!
