just before i bought my sr51 first serious type of flash light id just purchased the above titled.
upon reading the specs on this stating 3.2v - -8.4v i believe decided to use 2 cr123a rechargables, only to find after leaving it in my car overnight switched off! and tryin it the next day was very dim !!!??? then what ever battery i put in it was still very dim. upon smelling the torch when removing batterys could smell burning.
i cannot see that there was a short and by the looks of it smells like over voltage damage but it didnt burn out totally as was still lighting dim for as long as til i stripped it which has since now in bits and have just kept the t6 led for spare the board its atttached to looks like a diode resistor of some sort has burnt and crumbled.
any more like this.
and as from now on i think il stick to the better known makes as 2000 lumen??? it wasnt, and no reflector made it nasty but bright enough to find ya keys if looking in the dark any info be great thx
