Hey everybody, just wanted to share what I did to my Inova XO3 (tiros optics) that was originally a 80 lumen flashlight, I freezed popped it open. I think I might try to fit a P60 drop in with an R2 and three rcr123's. I think it might fit with some slight modifications or course, unless someone else has some better suggestions on it. All the electronics worked after the freeze and flood. So here are some pictures to show what's inside. Thanks, Richard H.

First freeze. Spiderman sticker courtesy of my now three year old nephew.

Second or third freeze, can't remember.

Then finally all of its guts (Jerry came over that day to check it out).

The crazy looking tiros optics, a piece of the top and bottom part chipped during the great freeze.

The LED (what kind is it?)

pardon the stupid question; what is the theory behind freezing & thawing? How can shrinking & expanding at a different rate pop the guts instead of falling into their original position? How can you put them together again; can you just push them into place?

Thanks,
Kurni

It's not the rates, the light is filled with cold water. As the water freezes into ice, it expands with up to 50,000psi of pressure.
