XP-E vs. XP-E HEW - who tried?

Has anyone compared classic XP-E with new XP-E HEW? Is it true that the new one is more floody? Some say it is, some say it isn't.

I have found it to be a little more floody around the edges as well as some funny color separation when using a Carclo optic.

I have built seven XP triples and the original XP-E was pretty tight.

Almost as bright (or even brighter) than XP-G at the same current. Nice but I'm a little bit dissapointed with colors while using optics. Is there the same problem with classic reflector?
