You need to see it to betterunderstnad what it does and how simply it transcends the wearer into a totally different understanding of time/space. For starters, it only has one large hand that keeps track of the sun up and sun set and all the hours inbetween. It give you sunset and rise times based on your location on the planet and the year we are in. It can check a date and place in history and tell you exactly the sun up and down times along with house of light/darkness. Stainless steel case, Swiss movement, and waterproff, what else could you want?

What else could I want you ask?.........how about a picture?

Ok....I did the google search and still had no luck. I'll give someone a quarter if they'll just post a link or something.

Wow! Cool watch!

I was going to save for a Traser watch, but now I'm confused...

Should I go for the "de facto" choice (CPF- wise) of having the Trasers, or go for the cool looks (and for me, equal usefullness...)

Decisions, decisions...

It looks like some one does not know how to use the IMG command. Oh well.

According to the www.thinkgeek.com , which sells this watch, it is very large.

Please note the dimensions of this watch (43 mm dia and 14 mm thickness). The large size is a result of it's electronic complexity and sturdy construction. It is a large watch, but it is also very visually striking.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">It looks and sounds cool, but I will wait a year or two. Perhaps by the both the size and the price will have gone down.

Why is it so large? I have seen other watches with hands and a complete LCD display covering the face. The Yes watch should be smaller, because there is only one hand instead of three. The electronics should not be any larger, if it is done right.

Go here and click on "yes" at the top of the page
http://www.24hourwatch.info/

Then take a look at a new version of the watch at the bottom of the page. Reviewer says it's only 13mm as well. Curious that there is no info about this watch on the Yes website.

I just spent 20 minutes checking out the site. VERY cool concept! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

What they need to add next is a GPS receiver so it knows precisely syncronized atomic time and exactly where you are (no need to input your city for it to determine time zone / DST info) Then, it could be even bigger on the wrist!

In all seriousness, I'll pass for now because I just can't stand a too-big or heavy watch on my wrist. I have a Timex cheapy that is light as a feather, compact, and has stayed within a second of my atomic-sync clock for over a year! Can't beat that.

Even die-hard mechanical watch collectors have added YES to their collections, overlooking the "sin" a digital watch represents in favor of owning a watch which offers a unique view of time.

I guess this is me. I think it is an innovative concept, I actually like it even though it's digital. But that price?

I don't mean to offend anyone. It seems like they think it is an heirloom quality, handcrafted, "hand-it-down-to-my-son" type of timepiece.
You know, a circuitboard, and a stamped out steel case, uh, I'll go $50.

(Let the beatings of me commence.) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twak.gif
