Oh yeah. Real potential for a museum. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Looks like it may be dimmable with that knob on the back of the head. But I wonder where the batteries go.

wow...i like that!

a while ago i put a red ls into a hairdryer and absolutly loved the form factor...i wonder how comfy this thing would be to hold?

Man, this is really a shame. It looks like it might not be sold. Somebody who knows what he's doing could turn this light into a beaut. I'd bid on it myself, except that I wouldn't know how to fix it up.

Okay, someone has placed a bid. Hope it was a CPFer and that he lets us know if he wins it.

I hope the winner keeps it in it's original condition it may be worth more than you think. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

The guy that won that also won some other antique lights, so he's definitely a collector of used old flashlights, whether or not he's on CPF. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How the hell did they power that thing in 1930? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

That thing's all aluminum/brass/steel? Goodness, it can probably handle 500 degrees F easily...

Maybe a super-driven 5W LS...? or a 500W Halogen?

Looks like a real "flash" light; one with a very short life filament; probably is gunpowder struck... Who knows...
