Not really sure if this is the right place to post this - if not feel free to move it. I have two or three of these bezels, and when I turn them down tight on the body the shock isolating rubber distorts and seems to mess up the beam slightly. All three do it, so I'm kind of leaning toward a design problem. Does anybody know a tip or trick to turn these down on to the body without the rubber distorting? I've done it with the batteries in and out and that makes no difference.
TIA,
RJ

Didn't know a z32 had a version. The only z32 marked envelope I have says "Model Z32 TAC Light Bezel Assembly (Shock Isolated) Laser Products" etc. Nothing about a version. Any SF drop in P60/61/90/91. 3p/6p/9p/body.

okay I'll put together a similar combination this evening and see whether I can replicate the issue you are experiencing. I don't believe it's been raised before though.

FWIW I just disassembled the bezel, lopped about 1/64th off the long edge of the rubber, and no more distortion. Maybe the shock isolation value is lessened, so do it at your own risk. It's snowed in here in the hinterlands, so I can't get to the range to prove or dis-prove my fix. We'll see this spring. Might be smart to have a Z30 on hand before you proceed. I didn't need one, but you never know. BTW, it seems to help if you put the rubber back 180 degrees out. All my bezels are used, and probably were assembled one time or another where it was slightly distorted and probably took a set. Might order one out new and see how that acts. Seems everybody has them priced down to around $25.00 so that might be fun to see.

Very interesting.

I have (2) Z32's, one I bought by ordering it by name over the phone from Surefire, the other one came with an L30 weaponlight lamp. Never had any beam distortion, but I have seen intermittent connection when used with a Z3. Shake the light hard enough and the lamp would go out.
