Well, shortly after the Z57 switch came out I got an E1e with one on it. I absolutely hated it. It was stiff and had a terrible feel to it. Real hard to push.........you get the message. Anyway, fast-forward prolly a year or so, I got another E1e with a Z57 on it from Cabelas. I think I just lucked out or something, I know they don't come with em now. Man, this switch is great, velvety smooth action, nice feel. I like it so much I have another on the way from JCCIV. I sure hope this one will be as good as the one I got from Cabelas. What has been your experience with the Z57. I now love it!!!!! Doug /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

SureFire has finally worked the bugs out of the Z57. I purchased 7 L4s recently (new style packaging) all all were excellent. Nice and smooth, and no excess electrical resistance either.

The Z57 has finally become worthy of the SureFire name. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I love my Z57. It is the newer breed which is easier to click on and off.

Peter, why do you need 7 L4s?

Same experience here, my E1e did (and still does /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif ) have a very stiff z57, but when I got my L4 its z57 is out of sight compared to the old clickie: smooth and good feel etc...

My Z57 could use some work.... it occasionally has a mind of its own. Needs a smoother, more positive engagement. It likes to stick sometimes... that can't be normal??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/huh2.gif

I just picked up a Z57 a month ago. As someone always ready and willing to complain about Surefire, I can't find any fault with it. It's got exactly the feel the I imagined it would have. Smooth, enough resistance and engagement length to let me easily choose between momentary-on and clickie-on.

Joe, you got a faulty one... Better send it to me for repair or replacement!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif
