Zebralight flashlight vs headlamp for EDC

I am interested in the Zebralight SC31W or H31W which appear to be quite similar in performance except the headlamp has a side emitter. I thought I would buy the version which would better serve dual purpose as an EDC pocket light and headlamp. I am not going to buy both versions until the emitter is updated and am not interested in cool versions. What is your experience with these or other Zebralights for multiple uses?
