Hi all,
Newbie here, posting for first time. Have been lurking a while, appreciative of great info you all provide. Thank you.

Need headlamp for tending horses at night, collecting maple sap, hunting, running, night x-c skiiing and general farm chores at night. Also would like to strap to bike helmet for times when I bike late....if possible. I'm planning to get a Zenix IQ on sale, and possibly mod it, based on recommendations here. Seems like a really good deal. I like 2 AA design. But.....would this headlamp fit on a standard bike helmet? You know these new helmet shapes are sort of slanted in front. May be asking too much.

Thanks for any ideas.
Marc

Velcro straps, elastic bands, large o-rings, etc. are all good options. Check out this thread for more ideas and pics of how people mount lights to their bike helmets.

Jeez! Where are my manners... :welcome:

I haven't read that thread in ... a while
Thanks for the reminder.

marc5...
The zenix will mount to a helmet, but I'd look at Cave Dave's post for mounting example.

Since the power cable isn't very long, you may have to remove the straps and attach the light higher on your helmet.

I've managed to mount the zenix using the existing straps and some creative knots, but abandoned the set up because it doesn't offer the amount of light i need to navigate. It does work well as a marker.

I'm updating my Zenix with a rebel LED and will post my opinion on the Headlamp board once it's done. (I still love this HL)

Good luck.

B.S.
