Trying to find a nice LED flashlight with a zoom.... been looking at some eBay CREE's but they seem a bit on the cheap side.... Im a big fan of the Streamlights and their solid, rugid construction....so I'd be looking for something of similar quality....Anybody have some suggestions?

I have the Led Lenser P2 and K3 both key chain lights but the P2 is to big for a chain in reality.

I also have a big shed light with focus,120 lumens on double AA and a 3 year warranty for just less than £20 UK sobs (pounds to you).:D

Do the new Maglites with Led focus like the old bulb type?

Definently go with Coast, can't go wrong there. Except for the fact that they have holes in almost all of their designs for "heat sinking" purposes. I dont see how that can be very effective, especuialy since there almost all using 3W LED's. All its doing is preventing the flashlight from being submersed into water, or even being rained on without short circuited.

If you dont want to spend $70 and want a cheapo solution, go with DX's selection of zoomable pocket throwers. Only problem is that they have no corrective optics, meanin that the spot will take the shape of the LED, and it will most likely be a square spot when focused.

Yeah, the MagLED's have a really deep reflector and throw suprisingly well; really tight hotspot.

Led Lenser's M-series has their newest lights currently, so those should offer the best features and performance. Just think whether you prefer using "normal" batteries in your light (MT7) or 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable (M7R). +they also have some smaller & bigger models too if you need more options.

Yep, the LED maglites do focus just like the bulb ones, but the beam is just as ugly as in the bulb versions when you unfocus it ;)

Ordered the M7R. I liked the fact that it was rechargable with a longer run time than of 4 AAA.... the LED Lenser cannon is kind of crazy looking :) but not for $300.... too big for what I need it for anyways. Thanks for the replys guys
