Thought I could just wipe a small dark spot off the bottom of the reflector with my hanky and spittle, ended up taking some of the shine off the reflector. Is there anything I can do to correct thing?

Whoa Hey Mai!

Well, you might want to try RUST-OLEUM Chrome Gloss + High Lustre Clear Coating. I did with my Mag-Light reflector and it worked. It's used with the DB-3W. . .But you may want to experiment first, like I did to get the desired result.

Sounds good. I have a True Value about a block from me, now I can put it to some use.

I stripped the coating off a Pila reflector the other night... I think this might bring it back to life.

CHC, so is this like Chrome paint?

Yes it is! Mirrored! Just follow the directions carefully, and experiment with it. Actually it's in spray can.
