So.. Is anyone hanging flashlights on thier christmas tree as ornaments this year?

Maybe a lame post, but the mental image I got of this made it worth a try.

Excellent idea! I think I'll slip a couple on to the tree tonight and see how long before the wife notices.

Why bother with all the ornaments? All you need is a star on top powered with a 5w Luxeon LED at 120 lumens.

Yeah, I got your north star right here! :lolsign:

I've got a couple "worthless" little plastic incandescents that hang on the tree every year. They're packed along with the regular ornaments...you know how folks have ornaments that "mean something to them" (baby's first Christmas, that trip to the North Pole [for real!], an angel knitted by Grandma, my first roadkill :D )...so I thought why not a couple inexpensive lights!

Sorry to be a wet blanket,
but considering the no. of high powered lights our members here have,
won't the tree burst into flames when you turn them on in the tree????
:eeksign: :D :santa:
