Heya all,
Just wanted to find out if anyone knows what side of the luxeon is what polarity?

i know that one side has a tiny little tab (not the main power tab, a tiny teeny one) that is complete, and one side has only half of this tab, but i forget which is plus and minus, and the Search function isnt finding anything useful!

even if someone does not have this info, if someone could supply me with a hi-res photo of a Luxeon Star viewed from above that would be fine! just as long as it is really on the star :)

If it's a LuxV/LuxIII removed from a star, then the longer tab is positve. Other wise the tab with the hole/complete is +.

You can also test with a multi-meter, put it on the lowest ohm setting, and touch the tabs. It will light up faintly enough to see if you have pos/negative right.

when i lose track (since i have to cut the tabs off most of the time) i use the diode check on my multimeter.. always interesting to see what the minimum Vf is.
