I got my G2 today, my first Surefire. I have to say, I'm impressing with everything about it. I noticed something strange, however. When I unscrew the tailcap to take it off, just before the tailcap comes off the light turns on. Is this normal? If so, why does it do this? If not, do you think it's worth sending in under warranty?

Yep no worry they do that sometimes.
As you take it off it comes in contact and lights up. Many lights do that
no big deal best I can tell.

Mine does the same thing. I think this is normal.
I believe that it turns on like this when you unscrew because the tailcap is no longer quite aligned with the body, causing the gold ring contact to press up against the side of the body tube. Just a guess.
