Lead content of brass used in flashlights

I never knew there was lead in brass until post #7 in this thread https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/107421

So my question is does the brass being used for flashlights contain any lead?

Most machinable brass alloys contain amounts of lead. I don't know that this lead readily transfers to your hands, etc., during regular use. But I wouldn't exactly store foodstuffs in leaded brass containers either.

I would highly doubt any machined brass flashlight is made from a lead-free alloy. My homemade stuff is brass alloy 360, a typical leaded brass alloy.

Alloy 360 brass is up to 3.7% lead by weight.
