there are 300mw handheld laser now .. but i think that is not the end
what do you think what for handheld lasers will come this year?

Lasers in different colors (or "colours") will make a bigger impression in 2006 than they did last year:

Red (635-650nm) directly injected
Yellow (593.5nm) DPSS
Green (532nm) DPSS
Blue (473nm) DPSS
Royal blue (440nm) directly injected
Violet (405-410nm) directly injected.

Somewhere around 70mW+ is needed to begin to be able to light a match, taking an initial beam diamter of about 1mm and divergence of 1.2-1.5mRad(this is about standard for a good quality pointer). Best results occur with lasers at 90mW+ though for the match lighting.
