Finally got around to opening up my PT EOS - it's one of the original ones from when they first came out, so the bin is terrible (PX0K!!!!)

Trying to figure out whether to put a RWOH Lux I or mebbe a TYOH Lux III - will the underdriven Lux III be brighter and more efficient than the overdriven Lux I?

X0 is the best color bin, P is a bit low for lumens and K a bit high for Vf, but thats not that bad of a bin in reality. It still wont be as bright as an RX0H though.

I would recommend using an R bin Luxeon I. There's no advantage to using a Luxeon III with low drive currents like the EOS has. The P brightness bin is lousy compared to what you can easily buy today, and an upgrade in two bins (P to R) will be noticeable.

At least you got a good color; my EOS originally had PYAK before I replaced it with an RX0H. :D
