L5 or 9P+z59

I need a new nightstand "things go bump" light and am having a hard time deciding between the L5 & 9P. Price wise, they're a wash after I add the z59 clicky & extra P90 or two for the 9P (I really like the clicky on my L4).

I've already got a L4 and am pleased with it indoors. While it has nice flood, it does lack in it's throw. I'd like a light with a little more "reach", even if it sacrifices some on how much spill-over you get. Also, I'd probably keep a P90 in the 9P as I'd rather have the longer runtime.

While I haven't seen a comparison of the L5 & 9P, I'm strongly leaning towards the L5 as it's SD/HD & handgun friendly (both grip & no broken bulbs).

The U2 also looks like a great light, but I can't justify the extra $50 in addition to the couple bad apple U2's that have snuck out.

BTW, where are you ordering your L5 from?

I like the regulation that the L5 will give me too. With the incans, the output starts dropping off as soon as you turn it on.
