Well, energy out must equal energy in, but for the same wattage, do LEDs dissipate more heat through the body than incandescents?
I feel this is a possibility, because incandescent can reject substantial portion of input power as radiant power in infrared spectrum while the LED must get rid of this heat at the body.
Thoughts?
