is there a step by step guide on moding the kl1? looking for more throw

CM was modding KL1s to increase the drive level of the lux (search for biasing mod), but it turned out to be too tough to open them up for him to continue. Any other mods will cut down the throw and give more spill, the TIR is the best i've seen for throw in something that size.
